Our “Hard-faced DoubleTaper Chisel Bit” is a 3/4″ thick bit that has the leading edge machined down to 3/8″ thick for easier penetration and steering through hard soils. Leading edge, sides and front face are impregnated with carbide rubble hard-facing for long service life. The bit bodies are manufactured from heat-treated, abrasive resistant, alloy steel – 180,000 psi tensile strength.
